Does living life get any easier than following 10 simple and clear rules? The 10 Commandments do not need any interpretation but in today’s society of progressive thought everything needs to be massaged to create a false reality about the afterlife.
The essence of progressive thought is the desire to amend the rules to have things both ways but Life doesn’t work that way. The gray areas of Life do not pertain to morality which is pretty much black and white.
We can play games all we want with the language to blur the lines between lies and truths but in the end we all face judgment alone. In that moment of truth there is no rationalization, projection, delusions, scapegoats, or second chances. When your trips around the sun end you are done in more ways than one.
Can you imagine if Liberals wrote the 10 Commandments? The first thing to change will be the name. The word Commandments will be offensive to people who do not like taking orders so we’ll change it the 10 Suggestions.
Instead of “Thou shall honor one God” it will be “Thou shall honor the god of your choosing or no god or a made up god. You will force others to acknowledge and validate your choice lest they be deemed intolerant.”
The Second Commandment is “Thou shalt not make any graven image” which asks us not to worship false idols like money, land, and power. That is the trifecta of all Liberal worship. This becomes inconvenient for Liberals so their version becomes “Thou shall not be denied your right to worship anything that gives you good self-esteem and makes you feel good about yourself. Anyone who disagrees with you is a conservative nut bent on controlling your life and should be ridiculed by our friends in the media.”
Commandment three is “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.” This is about respect so obviously Liberals will re-word it to state: “Thou shall not take the name of various protected groups in vain. You shall not refer to minorities in slang or colloquial terms or partake in hate speech unless it’s about white males, Catholics, and Conservatives.”
Coming in at number four is “Remember the Sabbath” which will morph into “Remember the Sabbath unless you have a youth sporting event, tailgate, want to sleep in, want to go to the beach, or otherwise do not feel like going to ritualistic worship.”
The Fifth Commandment will become “Thou shall honor thy mother and father, adopted mother and father, mother and mother or father and father, surrogate mother and father, grandmother and grandfather that raised you as if they were your father and mother, test tube, aunt and uncle who serve as a mother and father figure, and any human real or imagined you thought were your mother and father.”
The Sixth Commandment is “Thou shalt not kill” but Liberals will add a proviso for a Hate killing. I guess the killer who commits a hate murder will go to a hotter part of Hell. However, Liberals will add a waiver clause to exempt any type of abortion as a murder or allow assisted suicide as a non-murder event.
“Thou shall not commit adultery” is the Seventh Commandment and is almost impossible for any politician to follow. Liberals will change it to “Thou shall not commit adultery but it depends on what the definition of adultery is.” They will also try to include the condition that it can only be considered adultery if they are caught or are a Conservative.
“Thou shall not steal” will need a complete overhaul. The Eighth Commandment is too broad for Liberals so they’ll try to narrow the scope. The general concept of stealing will no longer be taking something that does not belong to you. The Liberal version will add so many caveats that the only thing that will qualify as stealing is any greedy small business owner wanting profits.
For a politician the Ninth Commandment, “Thou shall not bear false witness”, is even more impossible to keep than the adultery one. Asking a politician not to lie is like asking him or her not to breathe. Here the Liberals will get creative and define false witness as anything Conservatives say or is said on Fox News.
Finally, the Tenth Commandment is “Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife”. In other words, you shall not be envious and should be content with what you have. Can you imagine a Liberal being content with what they have versus wanting to take success away from others? This commandment will now read “White men shall not covet anything but all minorities and illegal immigrants have the right to want everything “rich” people have without the need to work for it!”
Of course my tongue is firmly placed in my cheek with this post. If you do want to learn the actual meaning behind the 10 Commandments go to The Ten Commandment.
